The Riches of His Grace for the Least
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
Ephesians 3:8 KJV
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Reflection
Awards are often given out for a job well done or an achievement met. They show up everywhere, from school ceremonies to promotions at work and even in the world of entertainment. Years ago those big award shows were the thing to watch. A favorite actor or singer would be up for a moment of recognition. If they won, they would hold that award up high, smiling with pride, and afterward everyone would talk about whether they truly deserved it. Especially if your personal favorite went home empty handed.
When I read this scripture, I think of how different Paul’s heart was from that whole picture. He was not holding up anything for the world to admire. Instead, he was openly acknowledging his own unworthiness. He understood that the grace given to him was an honor he did not earn. Paul did not walk with Jesus during His earthly ministry. He did not see Him ascend. Instead, Paul was busy persecuting the early believers. He described himself perfectly in First Timothy 1 verse 13. He knew exactly who he had been and exactly how much mercy God had poured out on him.
And yet here he was, entrusted with proclaiming the unsearchable riches of Christ to the Gentiles. It was a gift. A calling he knew he did not deserve but would embrace with all his heart because grace had changed him.
And honestly, that is where you and I come in too. None of us earned this beautiful gift of grace. We did not work our way into it. We did not qualify for it. Yet God, in His kindness, chose to reveal His Son to us. He took our past, our failures, our shortcomings, and He still brought us into His family. We are invited into these same unsearchable riches. We are given purpose and calling that does not come from our worthiness but from His mercy.
That truth alone can shift the way we see our day. It reminds us that everything we have in Christ is a gift that flows from His love. And it is meant to be shared.
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You for the grace that I did not earn. Help me walk in humility, remembering that everything I have in You is a gift. Fill my heart with gratitude for the unsearchable riches of Christ and teach me to share this hope with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Before You Go
Grace changes how we see ourselves. It reminds us that God chooses the willing, not the worthy. Paul understood that, and it shaped everything about his calling. You have been invited into that same grace. You have been trusted with a hope far greater than anything this world could award.
Take a moment today to reflect on this one question:
In what area of your life have you forgotten that God’s grace, not your ability, is what makes you worthy to serve Him?
Let that reminder settle deep into your heart. Grace was given to you on purpose. And God delights in using your life to display the riches of Christ to others.
