Let’s Talk About It
As you step into college life, you're bound to meet a variety of people. Whether it's roommates, classmates, or new friends, different personalities will begin to emerge. Even the most patient person can find it challenging when someone’s quirks rub them the wrong way. In these moments, it’s easy to lose your peace, especially when the stress of college life seems to pile on top of you.
But there’s another kind of peace, one that doesn’t come from getting along with everyone or having everything perfectly in place. It’s the peace that Jesus gives, no matter the circumstance. His peace isn’t based on the external, but on the assurance that He is the calm in the storm. When life gets messy or the stress starts to build, remember that His peace is available to you, right where you are.
Alongside that peace, focus can be hard to maintain in a busy college environment. With so many distractions and things pulling for your attention, it can feel impossible to stay focused on what matters most. But God promises to help us keep our minds fixed on Him, and when we do, He provides the focus we need to keep moving forward.
Prayer for College Student
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the peace that only You can give. I ask that You fill me with Your peace in every situation, even when people or circumstances try to steal it away. Help me to remember that You are always with me, offering calm in the middle of every storm. When relationships are difficult or stress begins to build, remind me that Your peace is unshakeable.
Lord, help me to stay focused on what truly matters. In the midst of distractions, help me to fix my mind on You and on the goals You’ve placed before me. Give me the strength to stay focused on my studies, on my relationships, and on my faith.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Keep This in Mind
When life feels chaotic or your peace is tested, remember that true peace comes from Jesus. Fix your focus on Him, and He will keep you steady through every storm.
