The Lord Is My Strength and Song
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
Exodus 15:2 (KJV)
The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Reflection
What happens when where you are now looks worse than where you were There have been times in my life when I felt like nothing would ever change, like I was stuck in whatever situation I was in. It is a heavy feeling to look around and not see a way out. To feel helpless and unsure of what comes next. Maybe you have experienced that too.
Sometimes the weight of a situation feels bigger than what we can bear. But then something happens. It might be an unexpected call, a door opening for a job, or a loved one being healed. Whatever it is, things begin to shift.
I have noticed that in those moments, my joy returns. I start to see clearly again and realize how much time I spent worrying and stressing over things that God was already working out. But even more than the change around me, I begin to recognize the work He is doing within me.
So often we cannot see past ourselves. We come to God feeling broken and unclean, and that alone can feel overwhelming. Some of us hold on to things our flesh does not want to let go of. Yet God is able to do what we cannot do on our own. He is patient, and He continues His work in us, even when we struggle to see it.
This is where the truth of Exodus 15:2 becomes so powerful. It calls us to look beyond what we see in front of us and recognize who God truly is. He is not only the One who delivers us from outward situations, but the One who works deeply within us. He is wonderful, powerful, and faithful. He is our deliverer and our strength.
Yes, there are times when He shows up in ways we can clearly see, changing circumstances and making a way. But even more than that, He is at work in the spiritual places of our lives. He strengthens us, reshapes our hearts, and brings us into a deeper understanding of Him.
He is our salvation in every sense of the word. Not only saving us from what surrounds us, but transforming what is within us. He does what we could never do on our own. He loosens the grip of the things our flesh wants to hold on to and leads us into something better.
That is the beauty of this song. It is not just a celebration of what God has done outwardly, but a declaration of who He is. Our strength. Our song. Our salvation. And because of that, we can trust Him not only to change our situation, but to change us.
Today's Prayer
Lord, You are my strength and my song. You are my salvation, and there is none like You. I praise You for Your power, Your faithfulness, and Your goodness in every season.
You are the One who delivers, the One who restores, and the One who works in ways I cannot see. Thank You for being not only present in my circumstances, but for working deeply within my heart.
I exalt You, Lord, for who You are. You are worthy of all honor and praise. Help me to trust You more, to rely on Your strength, and to lift Your name high in every moment.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Before You Go
When your strength feels low today, remember that you are not the source of what you need. The Lord Himself is your strength and your salvation. Lift your heart in praise to Him, not only for what He can do, but for who He is.
Even when you cannot see a way forward, He is still working. Even when you feel weak, He remains your strength. Let your heart rest in that truth and choose to exalt His name, trusting that nothing in your life is beyond His power.
As you go through your day, remember Jesus and all that He is to you. Your strength, your song, and your salvation.
Don’t worry—you can still catch up and be encouraged today.
