A Resounding Amen

Reflection
Listening to a preacher speak a powerful word stirred something deep within me. It was inspiring, encouraging, and before the message even ended, a resounding Amen left my lips. That short word expressed the firm sound of agreement, a call for more, a declaration of truth.
Like the twenty-four elders and the creatures of heaven, we too can join in this call of Amen, Alleluia. This praise is not casual. It is bold because it acknowledges the Almighty God who judges rightly, whose power is unmatched, whose wisdom is complete. The sound of our praise aligns with heaven itself, acknowledging His justice, His glory, and His authority over all creation.
God’s judgment and His might are not reasons for fear alone, but reasons for awe-filled praise. Every act of obedience, every faithful heart, every creation that sees His majesty should lift a resounding Amen. To praise God in this way is to recognize His supremacy, His holiness, and the all-encompassing power of His rule. All of heaven, all of creation, and our hearts echo the same response: Amen, Alleluia. He is worthy.
Above all, this praise directs our attention to God seated on the throne. He is sovereign over all things, and every decision, every act of judgment, every display of mercy flows from His perfect wisdom. To join in this heavenly chorus is to acknowledge that He reigns supreme and that His glory fills the universe. Every Amen we utter points to the One who rules all with power and justice, deserving of our highest honor and devotion.
Today's Prayer
Lord Almighty, I join with heaven today in a resounding Amen. Let my praise be firm, unwavering, and sincere. Help me to lift my voice with the elders and the creatures, declaring Your power, Your majesty, and Your perfect justice. May my heart rejoice in Your authority and acknowledge Your sovereignty in all things. Let every word of my mouth reflect awe and gratitude for You, Jesus, who sits on the throne and is worthy of all praise. Strengthen me to live in awe of You and to honor You in every thought, word, and deed. In Jesus’ name, amen.
