Knowing Jesus Through Revelation
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
All things are delivered unto me of my Father. And no man knoweth the Son, but the Father. Neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
— Matthew 11:27 KJV
Reflection
Many people go to school to learn a skill or to prepare for a particular profession. No one becomes a lawyer without studying. No one becomes a medical doctor without training. And while many people go to seminary, you do not need a degree to know Jesus. I am not against schooling at all, but knowing Christ does not come from a classroom. It comes from Him revealing Himself.
When Jesus walked the earth, there were learned and religious men everywhere. Men who studied the law, memorized Scripture, debated theology, and held positions of influence. If anyone should have recognized the Messiah, it should have been them. Yet many of them rejected Him. They were face to face with the very One their Scriptures pointed to, and they were completely clueless.
But not everyone was blind. There were those who believed. Nicodemus sought Him out. Joseph of Arimathea followed Him quietly. Even some of the scribes listened with sincerity. And beyond the religious leaders, you see fishermen, tax collectors, and ordinary people whose hearts were open to the truth. Their belief did not come from intellectual achievement. It came because Jesus revealed the Father to them and stirred a desire to truly know Him.
This is what Jesus is teaching in Matthew 11:27. Knowing God is not something we earn. It is not tied to intelligence, status, or education. The Father reveals His Son, and the Son reveals the Father. And when there is even the smallest desire in us to know Him, He meets it with clarity, grace, and truth.
Even today, anyone who truly wants to know Christ will find that He is already making Himself known. Not through complicated formulas, but through His Spirit. Not through human merit, but through divine revelation.
I came to know Jesus at a young age with no religious education, no church background, and no parent teaching me doctrine. All I had was a simple desire to know this Jesus my little ears heard about. And little by little, as I grew older, He increased my faith. Jesus has always met sincere hearts right where they are. He chose everyday people, some unlearned and unnoticed, to become His Apostles. He revealed Himself to them just as He continues to reveal Himself to us now. If you have even the smallest desire to know Him more, trust that He will make Himself known. He delights in drawing near to those who seek Him.
Today's Prayer
Lord, I thank You that knowing You is not based on my qualifications, background, or education. You are the One who reveals the Father, and You are the One who opens hearts to understand truth. Thank You for placing a desire in me to know You and for increasing my faith through every season of my life. Continue to reveal Yourself to me in deeper ways and help me grow in the knowledge of who You are. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Before You Go
Take a moment today and consider this one thing. Do you desire to know Jesus more deeply than you do right now? If the answer is yes, then you can trust that He is already working in you. The same Jesus who revealed Himself to fishermen, tax collectors, and ordinary people is the same Jesus who reveals Himself to you. Draw near with a sincere heart and let Him make Himself known. He delights in every step you take toward Him.
