Today's Scripture

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11

Reflection

I know this is not your typical devotional scripture to use, but it is so encouraging that I had to share it with you, especially given the present state of the world today. We live in a time where righteousness is hated, and evil is boldly supported as if it were right. But in the middle of this, the Scripture gives us great hope.

In Revelation 12:11, we see that victory over evil is not found in our own strength, but through the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of our testimony. This victory has already been won on the cross, and we are called to stand firm in that victory. Our testimony is not just about what God has done for us in the past, but about His ongoing faithfulness and the power of His sacrifice.

Living steadfast in our faith and running the race of life is an essential part of our testimony. We don’t do this in our own strength, but we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to finish the race set before us. In our own weakness, He makes us strong. We are conquerors, not because of our efforts, but because of the blood of Jesus and His testimony. The gospel empowers us, and through Him, we can press on, knowing that we are not running alone. Jesus has already secured the victory.

This victory is rooted in God's faithfulness. Just as He was faithful to those who have gone before us, He will be faithful to us. Even when the world seems filled with darkness, we can trust that God is at work and His promises will be fulfilled. We may face challenges, opposition, and even suffering, but God’s faithfulness to His Word will carry us through, just as He has always been faithful to His covenant.

Through the blood of Jesus, we can stand firm, knowing that no matter what we face, we are already victorious. God’s promises are secure, and He will fulfill every word He has spoken, including the promise of eternal life.

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for the victory we have through the blood of Jesus. Empower me by Your Spirit to live steadfast and run the race set before me. Help me to stand firm in Your promises, trusting in Your faithfulness. Remind me that, no matter what comes my way, I have already triumphed through Your strength and grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Before You Go

Take a moment today to reflect on the victory we have in Jesus. How does knowing that God’s covenant with us is unbreakable encourage you to stand firm, even when challenges arise? Remember, the blood of Jesus has already secured our victory, and through Him, we have the strength to keep running the race. His faithfulness to fulfill every promise, including the promise of eternal life, empowers us to live steadfast, pressing on toward the goal. You are more than a conqueror because of Him. His promises are secure, and He will see them through to completion in your life.

Your testimony matters. Just as the saints overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, we too have a powerful story of God's faithfulness to share. Don't underestimate the impact of your testimony, your story of victory in Christ is a living witness to the world of God's love, power, and the hope we have in Him.
