Hope That Overflows
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Reflection
While we are here on earth, it’s hard to look past the present realities. Maybe it’s the stress from work, the responsibilities of family, or the worries about what’s happening in our communities or even globally. The world is full of distractions, and sometimes we fill up on them so much that life can feel daunting. Have you been there? Hope tank on empty?
I remember a time when I faced a great deal of adversity, and on top of that, I had my ear to the airwaves. The constant stream of negativity made me feel so heavy. It seemed like everything was overwhelming, and it impacted every part of my life. I can imagine the believers in Jesus Christ felt the same way in their time. In the Roman church, difficulties in relationships and community were real struggles.
Paul’s words to the Roman believers encourage me even today. He reminds us that the God of hope is not just a distant idea. He is the source of hope. And this hope is not a vague wish; it is given to us by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not left hopeless. Even when it feels like our hope is running low, it can grow. Little by little, God’s hope can fill us with joy and peace, and that overflow can change how we face life’s difficulties.
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You for being the God of hope. When life feels overwhelming and my hope runs low, You are the source I can turn to. I trust that You fill me with joy and peace in believing, even when circumstances tell me otherwise. Holy Spirit, empower me to hold on to the hope You’ve given, and help me to overflow with it in a way that spreads to others. Thank You for never leaving me hopeless and for constantly renewing my strength. Help me to trust in Your promises and walk forward with confident hope, knowing You are working in me and through me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Before You Go
Take a moment to reflect on the times when your hope felt depleted. What did you do to get through those seasons? How did God show up in unexpected ways to remind you that He is your source of hope? Today, invite Him to fill you once more. No matter how empty your hope tank feels, God promises to pour into it abundantly. His peace and joy can overflow in you, no matter the situation. Keep trusting that He is working even in the waiting and that His hope in you can be a light to those around you.
