When You Need God to Rescue You
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
Psalm 31:4 (NASB 2020)
"You will pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, for You are my strength."
Reflection
I have never ever been physically trapped. Not in an elevator, not in a car, and not by another person. But I have certainly felt trapped.
One can be trapped in so many ways. Sometimes it’s the weight of circumstances. Sometimes it’s the feeling that those around you want you to fail. They don’t want you to keep serving Christ. They want you to return to who you used to be. And then there’s the daily pressure from within—the trappings of life, the flesh, the constant tension between who we are and who we’re called to be.
David understood this. In Psalm 31, he cried out to God because people had laid traps for him in secret. But he didn’t lean on his own strength. He said, “You are my strength.” And I’ve come to know the same truth. God is my rescue. He is my strength in every kind of trap. He keeps me from falling. He corrects me, brings me back, and never leaves me stuck.
When you feel like you cannot move forward, when pressure closes in, remember this: God sees every snare. Whether it’s the schemes of others or the struggles within your own heart, He is not distant. He is near. He is able. And He will pull you out. He always has a way of escape prepared for His children.
Today's Prayer
Father, thank You for always seeing me, even when I feel trapped or overwhelmed. You are my strength when I have none. You rescue me from the things I see and from the things I do not even recognize. Teach me to lean on You more, to trust Your way of escape, and to remember that I am never alone in the struggle. Keep my heart close to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Before You Go
You may never have been physically trapped, but spiritual traps are real. Some are set by others, and some are built by our own choices or struggles. Still, God is not watching from a distance. He is near. He is strong. And He is ready to pull you out.
Reflect:
Are you facing something right now that feels like a trap?
How has God shown Himself as your strength when you were weak?
