Keep Going When You’re Tired
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
— 2 Thessalonians 3:13 (KJV)
Reflection
Every day we go about our lives, working, helping others, and trying to live godly lives. We do our best to be law-abiding citizens, good neighbors, faithful friends. But even with the right intentions, it can still be hard.
Maybe you’re dealing with an unkind neighbor and it’s tiring to respond with love instead of matching their attitude. Maybe you’re working hard for someone who never acknowledges your effort. Maybe it’s not just one thing, but a build-up of small frustrations, unmet expectations, or quiet sacrifices that feel like they’re going unnoticed.
Sometimes it wears us down. We feel like giving up. Tired of doing the right thing with no visible results. Tired physically. Tired mentally. Just tired.
But don’t let those things stop you.
I love what the scripture says in Galatians 6:9, “For in due season, we will reap if we faint not.” That tells me the harvest is coming. And I want to reap. I’m sure you do too.
But if you’re like me, there are days when you feel at the end of your wits. And on those days, I pray. I ask God to give me the strength to keep going. To love my enemies. To treat people kindly who treat me with disdain. To press on when everything in me wants to shut down.
Thank God He is the one who gives strength and peace, so I can forge ahead.
I also think about Jesus’ words to the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2:3. He says, “You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.” What an encouragement. Yes, they had other issues, but it is still so important to notice that Jesus commended them for their endurance. He saw their effort. He sees yours too.
Your work matters. Your obedience matters. Your kindness, your faithfulness, your small unseen efforts, they are not forgotten.
Today's Prayer
Lord, I’m tired. But I know that You are my strength. Remind me that You see my efforts, even when no one else does. Help me to keep loving, keep serving, and keep walking in obedience to You. Thank You that the harvest is coming. Help me not to grow weary in doing good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Before You Go
It’s easy to give up when nothing seems to change. But don’t forget who called you. Don’t forget who strengthens you. God sees your faithfulness. Keep showing up. Keep sowing seeds. Keep honoring Him in every small act of obedience.
Take a moment to reflect:
What areas of your life are making you feel weary right now?
Have you been tempted to give up on something you know God asked you to do?
Are you trusting God for the harvest, even if you can’t see it yet?
Jesus is not just watching. He is working. And He will not forget your labor of love.
Did you miss it? Don’t worry—you can still catch up.
