Back-to-School Prayer Series
Simple, heartfelt prayers to start the school year with peace, faith, and focus.

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Let’s Talk About It

I’d like to make an admission. I was a foolish young person, and there are things I wish I could go back and redo. Boldness was something I didn’t quite understand back then. It doesn’t mean standing on a street corner preaching to everyone you see. It’s much more than that. True boldness is living for Jesus unapologetically. It’s not being afraid to be different or to stand firm in your faith, even when others are doing the opposite.

Living a life that pleases Christ means not being ashamed of who you are in Him. It means trusting that He’s with you, even when standing firm feels hard. Boldness also means having the courage to answer questions about your faith and not shying away from those opportunities. Trusting that God will give you the right words when you need them is key. You don’t have to have all the answers; you just need to trust that God will give you the strength to speak up when the time comes.

Prayer for College Student

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of boldness that comes from You. I ask for the courage to live unapologetically for You in every area of my life. Help me not to be afraid of standing out or being different for Your sake. When questions about my faith come, give me the confidence to speak up and provide answers that point to You.

Lord, I trust that You’ve given me everything I need to live out my faith boldly. Help me to rely on Your strength and not my own, knowing that You are always with me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Keep This in Mind

Living boldly for Christ doesn’t always mean big moments. Sometimes it’s just about trusting Him enough to be different and unashamed, no matter where you are.
