You Are God’s Cherished Child

Reflection

In this world there is a natural order of things, especially when it comes to an inheritance. Today, you can choose anyone to leave your estate to, but naturally, children become the heirs of all your earthly goods. Leaving an inheritance is considered wise and righteous because it sustains a family lineage. It is more than just passing on things. It is meant to provide security and continue a family legacy. While we are all God’s creation, we are not all called His children. Once we were outside the family, servants to the world, to sin, and to everything that held us in bondage. But thanks be to God, when we believe in Jesus Christ, we are adopted into His family. We are no longer servants but cherished, loved sons.(spiritually all are sons)

And what we inherit is far greater than anything on this earth. We inherit eternal life, a home in heaven that will never decay, the joy of God’s presence, peace that surpasses understanding, wisdom for every decision, and the promises of God that are unchanging. We are not just heirs, we are joint heirs with Christ, which means we share in His glory and inheritance. We participate in His victory over sin and death, reflect His character through our lives, and are included in His eternal honor and reward. Every blessing, every promise, and every gift of God’s kingdom belongs to us because of Jesus. This is something to shout and praise God about.

Knowing this changes everything. Every challenge, every moment of doubt, every feeling of not being enough can be met with the truth that you are God’s child, deeply loved, and fully provided for. Let that sink in and fill your heart with joy and gratitude.
