Choosing to Live by Faith Every Day
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
Romans 1:17 (NET)
“For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, ‘The righteous by faith will live.’”
Reflection
Living by faith isn’t something we choose once and then move on from; instead, it’s a daily decision. To live by faith is a way of life—one that requires daily surrender, daily trust, and daily growth. The righteousness we receive from God is not based on our own efforts or what we think is “good enough.” Rather, it is a righteousness that begins and ends with faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:17 reminds us that “the righteous by faith will live.” That means our walk with God must be anchored in trust from beginning to end. At the moment we first believed, we were made right with God through faith. However, the journey doesn’t stop there. We are called to live by faith every single day, allowing God to deepen our trust in Him as we face new challenges and uncertainties.
Personally, I’ve come to realize that my faith needs constant strengthening. Some days I wake up confident and full of trust, and other days I need to pray for help just to believe again. But that’s the beauty of the gospel—it carries us from faith to faith, from one step of trust to the next. If we are going to live by faith, we must keep leaning into Jesus and let His Word shape how we see, think, and live.
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You for making me right with You through faith in Jesus. Help me to live by faith today—not just in the big things, but in every decision, every step, and every moment. Strengthen my heart when I doubt, and remind me that You are always faithful. Keep growing my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Before You Go
Some days, you may feel disappointed in yourself when your faith feels weak. Maybe you thought you’d be further along by now or stronger in your trust. But God isn’t surprised by your struggle—He’s inviting you to keep growing. Living by faith doesn’t mean never stumbling; it means choosing to trust again, even after you've hesitated.
Today, reflect on where your faith feels weary and ask God to meet you there. Open His Word. Speak honestly to Him. Let Him carry you from faith to faith. Then take one small, trusting step forward—and know He is walking with you.
