Letting God Renew Your Mind
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
Romans 12:2 (NLT)
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Reflection
Letting God renew your mind is a daily decision that starts with His truth. In a world full of noise and pressure, it’s God’s Word that transforms how we think and live. It’s easy to let the world around us shape our thoughts—without even realizing it. The constant noise from the news, social media, and even well-meaning people in our lives can influence how we see ourselves, others, and God. If we’re not careful, their values begin to mold us, often pulling us further from God’s truth.
Romans 12:2 reminds us not to conform to the pattern of the world, but instead to allow God to transform us—starting with our thoughts. Renewing your mind is not something you can do on your own. It begins with God’s truth. When we fill our minds with Scripture and meditate on the gospel of Jesus, our thinking begins to change.
Jesus is the Truth, and His Word shows us what is right, pure, and pleasing to God. As we focus on Him, we begin to see life differently—we discern what is truly good. God’s will, which once seemed distant or unclear, becomes something we can actually recognize and walk in.
I’ve noticed that when I don’t intentionally set my mind on God’s truth, it’s easy to fall back into old patterns of thinking—worry, comparison, or discouragement. But when I take time to read God’s Word and remember the truth of who Jesus is, it realigns my thoughts and restores peace. Letting God Renew your mind is a daily process—but it’s also a gift. God doesn’t just ask us to change—He helps us do it by His Spirit and through His Word.
Today's Prayer
Father, help me not to follow the thinking of the world around me. Renew my mind with Your truth. Remind me daily of who You are and what You say is true. I want to think in a way that honors You and reflects the hope I have in Christ. Teach me to recognize what is good, pleasing, and perfect in Your eyes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Before You Go
Has your thinking lately been shaped more by the world or by God's Word? If you're feeling confused, anxious, or unsure about what’s right, it may be time to quiet the other voices and turn to the One who is Truth.
Start today by reading a few verses from the Gospels. Ask God to help you in renewing your mind and trusting in His wisdom over the world's noise. The more you fill yourself with His truth, the clearer your path—and peace—will become.
