Romans 8:38–39 (NLT)
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Reflection
Paul’s words in Romans 8:38–39 are a powerful declaration of truth for anyone who has ever wondered if God’s love could run out, wear thin, or fade with time. Life is full of shifting seasons and difficult trials, but one thing is certain: God’s unfailing love will never leave us.
Sometimes, we make the mistake of using people as the measuring stick for God’s love. But people fail us—sometimes deeply. No one on earth will ever love us perfectly. Their love has limits, but God's love does not. His love is so great that He gave His only Son for us—a Son who died, rose again, and now sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Can you see how great His love truly is?
No matter what happens in our lives—suffering, spiritual attacks, betrayal, things present or yet to come—nothing can break the bond of God’s unfailing love. That love was revealed and proven in Christ Jesus our Lord, and it will never loosen its grip on us. This isn’t just reassurance—it’s a powerful promise.
Even when we feel weak or uncertain, God’s love doesn’t waver. His heart remains faithful, His presence steady, and His love enduring. When all else shifts, His love holds fast.
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You that Your love never leaves. When I feel weak or unworthy, remind me of this truth: nothing can separate me from Your love in Christ Jesus. Help me rest in Your unchanging love today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
