Trusting God's Justice

Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.” Psalm 34:21
Reflection
Justice is a word we often associate with the court of law, a system designed to right wrongs. We’ve all seen the popular court case videos on YouTube, where we feel a sense of satisfaction when the guilty are held accountable for their actions. There's something comforting in seeing evil doers receive their due punishment, a sense of protection that justice is being served. But Psalm 34:21 reminds us that sometimes, in this life, the wicked may seem to escape consequences.
When we face suffering or injustice, it can be discouraging to see the wicked thrive while the righteous struggle. We may feel as though those who do evil get away with it, leaving us unsettled and hurt. However, we are called to trust in God’s perfect justice. Though evil may seem to prosper in the short term, we have the assurance that no one will truly get away.
One day, in God's perfect timing, all wrongs will be righted, and we will dwell in peace with no enemies. We can be thankful that Jesus has made us righteous, and through Him, we are secure in God’s justice. There will be a day when God’s judgment will be fully revealed, and we will rest in the knowledge that every wrong has been accounted for. Until then, trust that God's justice will prevail.
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You for the assurance of Your justice. When I face suffering or injustice, remind me to trust in Your perfect timing and wisdom. Help me to rest in the knowledge that one day, all wrongs will be made right. Thank You for making me righteous through Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Before You Go
Take a moment today to reflect on God's justice. How can you trust in His timing when you see evil prevailing in the world? Before we believed in Jesus, we too were lost in our sin, just like those who are still far from Him. But through His mercy, we’ve been clothed in His righteousness. Let’s pray for those who don’t know Jesus, that they too may experience His transformative love and receive the justice of salvation.
