Freely Given Wisdom
Be encouraged by today’s Scripture reflection and prayer.

Today's Scripture
James 1:5
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Reflection
I am always amazed that, after years of reading and studying the Bible, I still feel like there’s so much I don’t know. Sometimes it’s not so much about how little I know, but rather how my understanding keeps growing and becoming clearer. Every day brings a fuller understanding of something new in Scripture. It’s like I see things in a different light, and my path becomes a little clearer.
I’m grateful that God is generous with His wisdom and doesn’t hold it back from us. In James 1:5, we’re reminded that when we lack wisdom, we can ask God for it, and He gives it freely, without holding back or finding fault. This generous gift of wisdom is something God offers to all who seek it. There’s no limit to how much He’s willing to pour into our lives, and we can trust that He will guide us as we serve Him. Every time we seek His wisdom, He answers, helping us to make decisions and navigate life with understanding.
God’s wisdom isn’t just for knowledge’s sake; it’s meant to guide us in His service. Whether we’re serving others, making decisions, or simply living out our faith, God’s wisdom equips us for all things.
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You for the generous wisdom You offer. I ask that You continue to enlighten my heart and mind, that I may understand Your ways more fully. Help me to seek Your wisdom every day, and trust that You will give me what I need to serve You and those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
